How to Form Passive Questions

The passive voice focuses on the object of an action. To make a passive question, we start with the auxiliary verb (be, do, have) or a WH-word, followed by the object and the past participle (V3) of the main verb.
Present Simple (is / are)
Active Sentence
Someone cleans the room.
Passive Sentence
The room is cleaned.
Passive Question
IS the room cleaned?
WH-Question
WHY is the room cleaned?
Past Simple (was / were)
Active Sentence
Da Vinci painted it.
Passive Sentence
It was painted by Da Vinci.
