গল্পের সারসংক্ষেপ (Story Summary)
এই গল্পটি অপু নামের এক мальчикаকে নিয়ে, যে তার মামার বাড়িতে ছুটি কাটাতে গিয়ে নিজেকে খুব তুচ্ছ মনে করত কারণ বন্ধুরা তাকে খেলায় নিত না। একদিন তার তুতো ভাই এসে জানায় যে তাদের গ্রামের দল মতিগঞ্জের সাথে একটি কবাডি ম্যাচ খেলবে। নাসির নামে তাদের একজন খেলোয়াড় না আসায় অপুকে খেলতে বলা হয়। ভয়ে অপুর বুক কাঁপতে থাকে, কিন্তু গ্রামের সম্মানের কথা ভেবে সে খেলতে রাজি হয়।
ম্যাচের সময়, মতিগঞ্জের দল খুব ভালো খেলছিল এবং অপুর দলের খেলোয়াড়রা একে একে আউট হয়ে যাচ্ছিল। শেষে যখন শুধু অপুই বাকি ছিল এবং তার দল প্রায় হেরেই যাচ্ছিল, তখন তার পালা আসে। সে বিপক্ষ দলে গেলে তাকে সহজেই ধরে ফেলা হয়। ঠিক সেই মুহূর্তে, তার পায়ে একটি পিঁপড়ে তীব্রভাবে কামড় দেয়। কামড়ের যন্ত্রণা থেকে বাঁচতে অপু এমন এক ঝটকা দেয় যে বিপক্ষ দলের খেলোয়াড়রা অপ্রস্তুত হয়ে পড়ে এবং সবাই আউট হয়ে যায়। অপুর দল জিতে যায় এবং সে গ্রামের বীরে পরিণত হয়। কিন্তু অপু ভাবতে থাকে, আসল বীর কে ছিল—সে নাকি সেই পিঁপড়েটা?

Arun: "The Hero" was such a fun story! I felt bad for Apu when he felt insignificant.
Bithi: Me too. But it was amazing how he became a hero by accident. The ant bite was the real miracle!
